Changelog

What's new in ezRushes — the app on your remote and the review portal. Updates ship continuously.

App — on the remote

1.1.0 · Oct 2026
Two remotes on one Inspire 3, one copy in your portal: before uploading a clip, both remotes now check your whole portal for the same recording — every active project and folder, even when DJI named the clip a little differently on the other remote (for example D001C0002_1 instead of D001C0002). If both remotes want to upload the same clip at the same time, the faster one uploads it and the other one skips it. The camera values always come from the remote that captured them, so the pilot’s remote never replaces the operator’s values. Clips you removed from the queue stay removed — “Upload clips recorded while ezRushes was off” no longer brings them back. And clips that were not uploaded now say why: “Too short”, “Earlier day — tap to upload” or “Removed from queue”. If BTS is selected as the upload folder, camera clips now go one level up instead of into the hidden BTS folder, and ezBTS recordings go into that BTS folder rather than a second one inside it. Needs portal 1.4.

1.0.0 · Oct 2026
ezRushes 1.0 — out of beta. The beta badge is gone, and the app now talks about rushes and proxies instead of cache clips: the status notification reads “Watching for new rushes”.

0.5.72 · Oct 2026
Two remotes on one Inspire 3: when the camera operator’s remote is set to Manual upload, it now adds its camera values by itself to the clips the pilot’s remote has already uploaded — no tap needed, and the video is not sent twice. Switching from Manual to Auto now uploads the clips that were waiting from the last 24 hours; older waiting clips stay where they are until you tap them, so an old backlog never goes up by accident.

0.5.71 · Oct 2026
When you stop a recording, the status pill now says “Analyzing clip” until the clip is ready to upload — so you can see right away that ezRushes picked it up. Two remotes on one Inspire 3 (camera operator and pilot) no longer upload the same recording twice: the second remote checks your portal first, waits while the other one is still uploading it, and then only adds its camera values. Needs portal 0.16.

0.5.70 · Oct 2026
Camera metadata is more reliable. On DJI Pilot 2, the small native marker next to EI 800 could be read as an extra zero, so some clips showed EI 8000 — fixed, and the affected clips were corrected. If your portal can’t take a clip’s metadata at the moment it is sent, ezRushes now tries again automatically — also after a restart — instead of leaving the clip without recording time and camera values.

0.5.69 · Oct 2026
Tap the upload status above your clips (“2 uploading · 3 waiting”) to open the upload queue: every clip that isn’t in the portal yet, across all projects — with live progress, “Next” to upload a clip first, cancel, upload or retry, and “Stop queued” for everything waiting.

0.5.68 · Oct 2026
The clip list now opens on the folder your clips upload to — the one shown in the header, marked with an upload symbol. Change the folder in the header and the list follows. “All clips” still shows every clip of the project, including subfolders.

0.5.67 · Oct 2026
The app opens straight into your project now: the start screen shows the clips of the current project like your portal does — thumbnails, camera metadata, client status, comments and hidden clips, as tiles or as a list. The header holds the project and the folder new clips upload to (tap either to change it), the client QR code, an on/off switch for ezRushes and the gear for all settings. Clips still waiting or uploading sit in the same list with their progress. Hide, show and delete clips right from the remote, and tap a clip to play it full screen — from the remote, or streamed from your portal once it is only in the cloud. A cloud symbol on every clip shows where it is. New option “Free up space on this remote”: once your portal holds a clip in full size, ezRushes deletes it from the DJI cache; the clip stays in the list with its thumbnail and metadata. Fixed: on DJI Pilot 2, camera metadata from an earlier take could be attached to new clips again and again (for example a wrong lens) — every clip now gets the values of its own recording, and the wrong values were removed from affected clips in your portal. Shutter angles (e.g. 180°) are now captured, and the status pill hides while Pilot 2 shows its playback screen. On a DJI RC Pro 2, select the DJI Fly cache folder once more to allow freeing up space. Needs portal 0.13.

0.5.66 · Sep 2026
ezBTS screen recordings saved to a microSD card or USB drive are now uploaded, too — before, ezRushes only looked in the default ezBTS folder on the remote’s internal storage. Works best with ezBTS 1.3.20, which tells ezRushes exactly which folder on the card it records into.

0.5.65 · Sep 2026
New: Offload to SD, at the bottom of the app. It copies every DJI cache clip on the remote to an SD card, USB drive or any folder, sorted into one folder per month and project (e.g. “0926_Harbour Day 2”), with each clip’s metadata next to it as .json and as a plain .txt file. Clips already on the target are skipped, so you can run it again after every shooting day. The upload queue now survives restarts: after switching the remote off and on, after an app update or when Android closes the app, waiting clips are picked up again automatically, and the app no longer reports “All clips uploaded” while clips are still waiting. Clips deleted from the remote before they could upload are reported instead of silently disappearing. Uploads continue where they stopped instead of starting over, and big clips no longer get stuck uploading again and again. A clip with the same name as a different clip already in the portal is uploaded under its own name instead of replacing it. The thumbnail shows up in the portal as soon as the upload starts, and your portal can show what is still waiting on each remote (Admin → Connected devices). Headings and buttons use the portal’s typeface weights.

0.5.64 · Sep 2026
Screen recordings of FPV flights from DJI Fly now upload right after you stop the recording instead of about two minutes later. Background: ezRushes waited for ezBTS to rename the clip after DJI’s clip code — but that code only exists on DJI Pilot 2 remotes, so on a DJI Fly remote it waited for something that could never arrive. It now waits only where a rename is actually possible, notices finished ezBTS recordings immediately instead of on the next scan, and never uploads the same recording twice if it is renamed later. Works best together with ezBTS 1.3.18, which gives such clips their final name straight away.

0.5.63 · Sep 2026
Clips remember the project and folder they were recorded for. If you record without a connection and switch to another project before the remote is back online, every clip still uploads into the project it belongs to. The queue shows “→ project” next to a clip whose target differs from your current selection — tap it to move that clip (or all of them) to the current project. The wrap check now checks each project separately. New: the app warns you when your portal storage is over your plan and uploads are running on the safety buffer. Also fixed: the selected upload folder could silently reset to the project root on older pairings, and a rare case where the app kept asking for screen capture: after granting it, metadata capture switched itself off again seconds later and the “metadata” pill kept coming back over DJI Pilot 2 — on remotes with ezBTS this also left ezBTS unable to record. ezRushes now notices within about a minute when ezBTS has screen capture again and hands its own back (please update ezBTS to 1.3.17 as well).

0.5.62 · Sep 2026
The status pill setting is now a simple switch, and the ezRushes pill has the same size and look as the ezBTS pill, so the two sit neatly together over the DJI app.

0.5.61 · Sep 2026
Tidier app: all permissions in one place with a clear status, Upload mode now has an “Off” setting (replaces “Pause uploads”), and the client QR code and HDMI preview code live in their own “Client preview” section. On a pilot’s remote you can choose to upload only ezBTS clips. Fixes the ezBTS status pill disappearing — and ezBTS not starting its recordings — while the ezRushes pill or the HDMI preview code was on screen (please update ezBTS to 1.3.16 as well). Camera metadata is no longer skipped when the status pill sits on the DJI camera bars, and the HDMI “Preview rushes” code has evenly rounded corners.

0.5.60 · Sep 2026
Redesigned status pill: always there over DJI Fly and DJI Pilot 2, showing “ezRushes” with a status symbol — green arrows while uploading, a green dot when all is done, a red square when paused or offline, an exclamation mark if something needs attention. Tap it for details such as the error, queued clips or today’s uploads. The client QR code now opens full screen and fits small remotes like the RC Pro; tap anywhere to close, long-press the QR button to share the link instead. New option: show a small “Preview rushes” QR code in the corner of a monitor connected via HDMI.

0.5.59 · Sep 2026
“Delete ezBTS clips on the remote after upload” now really frees up storage: a clip is only removed once your portal confirms the complete, full-size copy — nothing is deleted in LQ mode. Needs ezBTS 1.3.15 or newer. Uploads now only count as done when the server confirms the full file.

0.5.58 · Sep 2026
The status pill shows READY when idle and only appears while DJI Fly or DJI Pilot 2 is in front.

0.5.57 · Sep 2026
Upload status pill over the DJI app (off, during uploads or always). Pause uploads in the settings or right from the notification; uploads wait automatically for network and battery. Tap a queued clip to upload it next. New wrap check: see at a glance whether all of today’s clips are on the server. Renaming a project in the portal no longer interrupts uploads, and the app warns when the remote runs low on storage.

0.5.52–56 · Sep 2026
Metadata capture comes back by itself after a reboot — with or without ezBTS on the remote — and no longer interrupts ezBTS recordings.

0.5.48–51 · Sep 2026
More reliable camera metadata: the pilot’s remote (FPV view without camera values) is recognised automatically, so no wrong values are attached, and clips uploaded later no longer pick up the current camera settings.

0.5.47 · Sep 2026
Clip preview got real player controls — play/pause, a scrub bar and a time display, sized to fit every remote screen.

0.5.45 · Sep 2026
Dialog actions (Create / Cancel / Save) moved into the title row, so the on-screen keyboard can never cover them.

0.5.43–44 · Aug 2026
New METADATA status pill over the DJI app on every remote: if metadata capture is off (e.g. after a reboot), one tap re-enables it — no need to open the app.

0.5.41 · Aug 2026
BTS screen recordings now upload much sooner after each take.

0.5.39–40 · Aug 2026
Bullet-proof updates: interrupted downloads resume automatically and update verification works on all supported remotes. Inspire remote stays locked to landscape.

0.5.36–37 · Aug 2026
Camera metadata got more reliable: values are sampled repeatedly during recording, implausible readings are cleaned up, and EV 0.0 is no longer missed.

0.5.30+ · Aug 2026
Mavic 4 Pro / DJI RC Pro 2 support — including portrait mode with an automatic “portrait” tag on vertical clips.

The app updates itself: it checks on launch and installs new versions with one tap.

Review portal

Currently live: v1.5.0 — the portal updates for everyone at once, there is nothing to install.

1.5.0 · Oct 2026
Legal pages: clearer contract terms and a business-only sign-up. You confirm that you act on behalf of a business, see how Pro renews and how to cancel right above the order button, and get a confirmation e-mail with your plan, term, price and the version of the terms you accepted. New: a way to report content, linked at the bottom of every page and every review portal, next to the imprint and privacy policy. Visitor statistics now use a daily key that is thrown away afterwards, ezrushes.com only sets a session cookie when it needs one, and “Stay signed in” is only on when you tick it.

1.4.0 · Oct 2026
Two remotes on one Inspire 3: your portal now finds a recording the other remote already uploaded anywhere in your portal — in every active project and folder, also when DJI named the clip a little differently on that remote (for example D001C0002_1 instead of D001C0002). If both remotes try to upload the same clip at the same moment, the faster one wins and only its copy is kept. The camera values still come from the remote that captured them. Works with ezRushes 1.1 on the remotes; older app versions work as before.

1.3.0 · Oct 2026
Home page: a third voice from set — Cinehawks on second-unit shoots with the Inspire. The voices now sit under their own heading.

1.2.1 · Oct 2026
Your account page now shows how many days are left in a Pro preview without assuming it lasts 14 days — some previews run longer. If you keep Pro during a free preview, your paid year now starts when the preview ends instead of right away.

1.2.0 · Oct 2026
Home page: a second voice from set — TeamFriebe Media on sharing camera flights with clients and directors straight from the remote.

1.1.0 · Oct 2026
Home page: a first voice from set — how ezRushes changes a shooting day, under the section about client review.

1.0.1 · Oct 2026
Home page: copy edits in the intro, the client section and the low-bandwidth tile.

1.0.0 · Oct 2026
ezRushes 1.0 — out of beta. A new home page, the Self-hosted plan (formerly Enterprise) with an appointment form, and one contact address for everything: mail@ezrushes.com. E-mails from your portal now come from that address, so replies reach us.

0.22.6 · Oct 2026
Imprint: updated the managing director’s name.

0.22.5 · Oct 2026
Home page: the loop at the top now runs without a jump at the end.

0.22.4 · Oct 2026
Home page: the clips got a more neutral, crisper colour grade.

0.22.3 · Oct 2026
Home page: the clips now run without pause buttons. With reduced motion enabled in your system settings they show a still image instead.

0.22.2 · Oct 2026
Home page: a corrected cut of the loop at the top.

0.22.1 · Oct 2026
Home page polish: on lower laptop screens the headline no longer pushes the buttons below the fold, and phones load the loop at the top only once it is in view.

0.22.0 · Oct 2026
Home page: the top now shows a short loop from a real shoot — from the remote to the review on the tablet. The on-set photo with the ezRushes status pill moved into a new tile about the lightweight, integrated app.

0.21.0 · Oct 2026
Home page: the “Inspire 3 + Mavic series” and “Made for team leads” tiles now show short clips from a real shoot — they play only while on screen and can be paused. Each step under “Install in minutes” links straight to its page.

0.20.0 · Oct 2026
Archived projects no longer count toward your plan’s project limit. On the Free plan, archive the finished project and start the next one — your account page shows active and archived projects separately.

0.19.1 · Oct 2026
Home page: the photo at the top now lines up with the rest of the page on wide screens instead of running to the edge of the window.

0.19.0 · Oct 2026
A new look for the review page: the clip you are looking at now plays in a viewer at the top of the project — on every screen, from phone to desktop — with everything about it right beside it. Rate it with the labelled Select, Maybe and Reject buttons (or the keys 1, 2 and 3), read and write comments, check the camera values and step to the next clip with the arrows. The clip list below stays a list or tiles, as you like. Filters now open from a Filter button in the toolbar, every status is labelled, and reloading the page keeps you on the clip you were watching. Admins get the same viewer, with Hide, Move and Delete next to the clip.

0.18.1 · Oct 2026
Home page polish: the feature story now plays each step’s animation when you reach it, links to a section land below the header, and the page fits small phones and enlarged text settings without cutting anything off.

0.18.0 · Oct 2026
A new home page for ezrushes.com. It now tells the product the way it works on set — the take uploads from the remote, lands in your portal with its camera metadata, and your client reviews it — shown with the real app and portal elements. The sign-up button is called “Start free” everywhere.

0.17.3 · Oct 2026
Smoother playback while a look or the Rec.709 preview is on — most of all in Safari on the Mac, iPhone and iPad, where each video frame used to take a slow detour before the look was applied.

0.17.2 · Oct 2026
Shorter names in the player’s look menu: the entry for DJI’s official conversion is now simply “Rec.709”, and the example looks carry just their film names.

0.17.1 · Oct 2026
Three example looks are now ready in every portal under Admin → Settings → Looks: Kodak 5205 Fuji 3510, Fuji ETERNA 250D Kodak 2395 and Fuji F125 Kodak 2395, film emulations by Adobe — so you can try looks before uploading your own. Turn them on per project under Edit project details, or delete them like your own looks. The menu next to “709” now also offers Rec.709 as footage: for clips recorded in Rec.709, a Rec.709 look is applied directly, without the D-Log conversion, and without a look the clip plays as recorded. Also smoother playback while a look or the Rec.709 preview is on.

0.17.0 · Oct 2026
Your own looks in the player: upload .cube looks from DaVinci Resolve, Premiere and other tools under Admin → Settings → Looks, give each a name for the menu and say what it is made for. A Rec.709 look is applied after DJI’s official D-Log or D-Log M → Rec.709 conversion, a look made for D-Log is applied directly. Under Edit project details you choose which looks each project offers — you and your client then pick them next to “709” in the player. Preview only: your footage is never changed.

0.16.0 · Oct 2026
Group clips by day: the new “Days” button above the clip list — in your admin area and in the client view — separates the clips by recording day, each day with its date as a heading and the number of clips. Every viewer chooses for themselves, and the choice is remembered. With an Inspire 3 flown by two remotes, both remotes have a copy of every recording: your portal now recognises the second copy as the same recording (clip name, recording time and length) — it is no longer uploaded twice as “…_2”, and the camera values from the operator’s remote are added to the clip even when the pilot’s remote uploaded it first. Needs ezRushes 0.5.71 on the remotes.

0.15.0 · Oct 2026
Archive finished projects: under Edit project details, “Archive project…” first offers the whole project as a ZIP download — the video files in their folders, each with its metadata file, in parts of up to 3 GB — and creates any missing preview images. Only after you confirm that the ZIP is stored safely, or that you don’t need it, are the video files deleted and your storage freed. The archived project stays in your admin area with its clip list, folders, camera metadata, notes, preview images and client feedback until you delete it; clicking a clip shows its preview image, marked as archived. The client link, PIN and share links stop working, and the remote no longer uploads into it. Also fixed: when several clips arrived at the same moment, the portal could occasionally reject the request that carries a clip’s metadata — the clip then showed no camera values and sorted by its upload time instead of its recording time. Affected clips were repaired.

0.14.0 · Oct 2026
Camera metadata can now be switched off per project: if the captured values are wrong for one shoot, untick “Show camera metadata” under Edit project details. That project then shows no lens, iris or EI values and no metadata filters — in your admin area, in the client view and in the app’s Clips view. Nothing is deleted: turn it back on and the values return. The switch in Admin → Settings still turns camera metadata off for all projects.

0.13.1 · Oct 2026
Faster clips: opening a project no longer makes other requests wait in line, and videos in Chrome and Firefox now load in smaller pieces — so several people can watch at the same time without new clips getting stuck while loading.

0.13.0 · Oct 2026
Your portal now powers the new Clips view in the ezRushes app 0.5.67: the remote shows the project’s clips with thumbnails, metadata, client status and comments, streams clips that are only in the cloud, and can hide, show and delete clips — the same actions as in your admin area.

0.12.0 · Sep 2026
The Rec.709 preview in the player now converts D-Log M as well: the small arrow next to “709” lets you choose between D-Log → Rec.709 (Inspire 3) and D-Log M → Rec.709 (Mavic 3/4, Air 3, Mini 4 Pro), both using DJI’s official conversion. Your choice is remembered. New per-project setting for sensitive or NDA material: turn off “Clients can download and share clips” under Edit project details, and your client can still watch every clip but gets no download or share buttons — download and share links for that project stop working, too.

0.11.1 · Sep 2026
New “Share link” button on every project page, next to “Open client view”: one click copies the project name, the client link and the PIN — ready to paste into an email or a chat with your client. The project list in your admin area now ends with a totals row: number of projects, all clips, total runtime and total storage.

0.11.0 · Sep 2026
Live view on set: new clips now appear in the client view without reloading — a small bar shows “2 new clips · Show” and, while a clip is still coming in from the remote, its progress. Clips added since your last visit carry a NEW mark, and every clip shows when it went online. Uploads from the remote pick up where they stopped instead of starting over, and big clips no longer get stuck: the portal confirms the last part right away. Admin → Connected devices shows what is still waiting on each remote. Safer and sturdier: ezrushes.com and every portal now only answer over HTTPS; changing a project’s PIN also signs out existing client sessions and disables client links sent by email or QR code; deleting a project, folder or clip always asks first again (names with an apostrophe skipped the question); “Move to…” asks before moving a clip, and warns when the target is another client’s project; renaming a project while a clip is uploading no longer removes clips; a cancelled bulk download no longer leaves copies behind on the server. Headings and buttons now show their intended weights.

0.10.0 · Sep 2026
ezrushes.com now shares the look of your review portal: the same colours, the same typeface for headings and buttons, the same button and card shapes — and buttons on phones are now proper thumb-sized targets. Also: security hardening for sign-ins — every admin and client session is now tied to its own portal. After this update you may be asked once to sign in again or to re-enter a client PIN; devices you chose to remember stay signed in.

0.9.9 · Sep 2026
Projects created before the portal kept a creation date now show the date of their first clip in the project list, instead of a dash — and the list is ordered by the date you see in that column.

0.9.8 · Sep 2026
The project list in your admin area is leaner: client, PIN, client link and the Open button are gone — the project name is the link, and everything else is on the project page anyway. In their place each project now shows the date it was created.

0.9.7 · Sep 2026
The action bar above your clips now fits on a single line on every phone. In the admin area, Hide, Show and Delete became icons so that the folder dropdown, all three actions and the view switch sit side by side instead of stacking into three rows; in the client view the same bar keeps that height and lets “Download selected” stretch across the full width.

0.9.6 · Sep 2026
The portal now behaves like an app on a phone — and never scrolls sideways. Tables that used to force you to swipe left and right (projects, comments, connected devices) are lists of cards with proper labels. The header stays put while you scroll, the selection bar with “Download selected” stays within reach, and the page behind the player no longer drifts while you watch a clip. Every button, row and slider is now a real thumb-sized target, form fields no longer make iPhones zoom in when you tap them, and content keeps clear of the notch and the home indicator. Long clip names wrap instead of pushing the close button off the screen. Dropdowns line up with the buttons next to them on every device — an iPhone used to give them a height of their own — and the selection bar, the header and the project cards now reach the full width of the screen.

0.9.2 · Sep 2026
The fullscreen button in the player now works reliably on phones. It was a 22-pixel target squeezed against the screen edge — the control row overflowed on narrow screens, so the right part of the button was cut off and not tappable at all, and a tap often hit the 709 button or the video instead. All player buttons are now proper thumb-sized targets, the row fits every phone, the first tap after the controls fade out only brings them back instead of pausing, the button switches to an “exit” icon while you are in fullscreen, and iPhones now get real fullscreen video where possible instead of only the rotated preview.

0.9.1 · Sep 2026
No more hard stop in the middle of a shoot: beyond your plan’s storage, uploads continue on a safety buffer (5 GB, 3 GB on Free). As soon as the buffer is in use you are warned in the admin portal, in the app on the remote and by email — and again if the buffer runs out. Clips that no longer fit stay queued on the remote and upload automatically once there is space.

0.9.0 · Sep 2026
Your brand, your portal: choose dark, light or system mode and your own brand colour (or one of five palettes) under Admin → Settings → Appearance. Buttons, links, icons and highlights follow it in your admin area and on every client link, and text contrast stays readable automatically. White logos get a dark backing in light mode.

0.8.2 · Sep 2026
Tile view for clips — now the default in the admin and client view. Clip name and metadata appear when you hover over a thumbnail, the actions stay below each tile, and comments open right inside the tile. Switch back to the list any time.

0.8.1 · Sep 2026
Upload notifications by email: add recipients per project and get one summary per upload session with a direct link into the project.

0.8.0 · Sep 2026
Try Pro for 14 days when you activate the free plan. The admin dashboard now shows how much storage you use.

0.7.4 · Sep 2026
“Stay signed in on this device” for the admin area, the client PIN and your account.

0.7.3 · Sep 2026
Camera metadata and metadata filters can be switched off (Admin → Settings). Connected devices show which app version each remote runs.

0.7.2 · Sep 2026
Player: faster start, fullscreen always switches to landscape on phones, and the controls stay visible until playback starts.

0.7.1 · Sep 2026
Behind the scenes: daily backups, protection against password guessing on all logins, and every upload is checked for completeness on the server.

0.7.0 · Sep 2026
Referral program: invite another crew — they start with +1 GB, and you permanently gain +1 GB and +1 project slot per invite (up to three). Your link lives on your account page and in the admin dashboard.

0.6.1 · Sep 2026
Design refresh across the portal: clearer typography, calmer layout, faster scanning — same workflow.

0.6.0 · Sep 2026
Guided tour for new admins (“Tutorial” in the menu) and a configurable client disclaimer (Admin → Settings).

0.5.0 · Aug 2026
Rec.709 preview for D-Log clips — one click in the player, no re-render, no re-upload.

0.4.0 · Aug 2026
Notes per clip (shown to your client when filled) and a full metadata editor.

0.3.0 · Aug 2026
Auto-retention: projects can clean up old clips automatically — clips your client marked as Select can be kept.

0.2.0 · Aug 2026
QR quick access from the remote straight into the client view, and hide/show without a page reload.

0.1.0 · Aug 2026
Playback polish: instant scrubbing on long clips and fullscreen that works on phones.
